Bamboo Orchid Plants

 Get the tropical Hawaii feeling with the Bamboo Orchid. It delivers the classic orchid shape and colors, plus bright green year-round bamboo-like foliage. Easy to grow and blooms frequently form Spring through Fall. Great for flower arrangements. 

 Bamboo orchids Arundina Graminifolia can grow up to 5 ft tall with blooms 2 to 3 inches across.

Commonly seen by visitors to the Kilauea Volcano, the Bamboo Orchid grows in large numbers in Lower Puna on Big Island in thin soils on top of lava flows.

It's an easy to grow ground orchid: give it lots of light, warmth, a rich but very fast draining soil and plenty of humidity and light fertilizer. It does great outside on the East Coast and Southern States in Summer (hello tropics!). It grows as far north as Orlando outside when it gets Winter sun under the protection from trees or roofs but prefers to be above 55F. These beautiful orchids make for great house plants too!
It's scientific name is Arundina graminifolia. Orchid lovers plant this orchid in groups or beds for effect.

Bamboo  Orchid Roots 1 Pack 2 Root bulbs (also called rhizomes). Each root is 3 to 5 inches long. This is a perennial plant.

Planting Instructions

Plant bulbs in dense potting soil, keep in shade until bamboo take root. Slowly move to full indirect sunlight. Keep moist, not soggy. Fertilize once a month.
